The school is a Catholic Mission boarding secondary school for girls situated in Duduguru 6 kilometers from Lafia the capital of Nasarawa State, Nigeria. The school environment is the most serene, natural and conducive you can find anywhere in Nigeria and our learning facilities which include sporting and recreational facilities make life at school home away from home for our students.

Beyond Academics

St. Kizito Girls’ Secondary Schools Duduguru firmly believes in the total development of the child. Here, we raise well-rounded, well-educated, well-cultured, God-fearing women of substance. Sports

Students at St. Kizito Girls’ Secondary Schools have plenty of opportunities to undertake in sporting activities. We believe that sports and fitness are integral to a holistic education, providing lifelong pleasure and fulfilment, relaxation, exercise, self-esteem and team spirit. Sporting events such as inter-house sports and inter-school competitions take place from time to time.

Inter-House Sports

This is done during the second term of every academic session to not only discover and harness talents but to also foster the spirit of healthy competition among students.

Saturday Work-Outs

Every Saturday evening, Kizzy girls enjoy work-outs to ensure their fitness under the supervision of the games masters. Enjoyable chants and songs, aerobic-style work-out are all part of the Saturday evening workout.

Games

There are a variety of games played in the school such as tennis, pingpong, badminton, volley ball, basketball, football, handball, and a host of track and field activities.

Prefects of St. Kizito

This is the highest level of student leadership in the school. This page contains the profiles of the appointed Prefects of St. Kizito Girls’ Secondary Schools. Their grasp of these issues is reflected in their firm, fair and consistent approach in dealing with their mates and junior students. Taking their cue from the over-arching principles of servant leadership embraced by the school leadership, they have set for themselves very high standards and without doubt will blossom into some of the finest leaders that our country will have. No wonder they have the whole school on a leash! Painlessly and effortlessly, they engage with classmates and juniors with high levels of emotional intelligence. Prefects are responsible for the following:

To maintain general orderliness among learners by:
Ensuring that noise levels remain minimal at all times.
Ensuring that learners are properly dressed at all times.
Ensuring that queues are formed where required and that behaviour is good at all times.
Ensuring that learners do not loiter or litter and that the school environment is tidy at all times.
To report indiscipline/good behaviour among learners to staff.
To supervise the movement of learners and ensure punctuality
To ensure orderly conduct during assemblies, lunch etc

Class Captains

Class captains play a very important role in the smooth running of their classes. They work closely with their Class Tutors and Heads of Year to support members of their classes with their behaviour and attitude to their work as well as resolving issues that develop among classmates.

Room Leaders

Room leaders play a very crucial role in maintaining orderliness, cleanliness and compliance with school rules and regulations among students in the hostels. Any member of the room can be chosen to lead other students in the room. This is quite different from what obtains in many schools in that some room leaders here at St. Kizito are juniors! It is one of the school's strategic intents to develop leaders at all levels of the school community.
